COIL is a non-credit continuing education course that assists professionals and students as they envision and realize their technology ideas. The course starts at the beginning of each academic semester (fall, spring, and summer) and lasts one semester. Students and professionals can register for the course as many times as they desire. The cost is listed on the Admission and Fees page .Complete the Program Admission Application to register. Once you are registered, a coordinator will be assigned to you to guide you through the process of accessing COIL.
Each semester, the course includes mentoring by faculty and industry experts, and access to the design lab and its state-of-the-art equipment. Participants develop both the network and resources to take their technology projects to the next level. The broader impact of COIL is to encourage the development and sustainability of an innovation ecosystem consisting of FIU faculty, students and the professional design and development community and related stakeholders in South Florida.
